This Will Change the Way You Play

If you have been following along our Facebook (which you should), then you will have read about some vague updates coming to Solar Roller. It’s about time we reveal just what those changes are, don’t ya think?

Skins, skins, and skins! Play the updated version, and you’ll instantly notice a huge difference. Not only have we applied new skins to the platforms, but some of the planets got a new and improved look as well. We’ve even applied some particle systems to this updated version, giving some plants a unique atmosphere.

See the difference?
See the difference?

We’ve even added an entirely new planet, ready to be conquered at a moment’s notice. With this new planet, it poses new challenges. We are introducing three new platforms, each ready to rock your world. The red will make things a little hotter, the green might make you want to stay a little while longer, and the blue? Well, I hope you’re ready to try your patience because it might just have a mind of its own.

Experience Space for Yourself

One of the cool things about making games is you get to make ’em about things you find interesting. Space, cowboys, robotic men – even rainbow unicorns with laser beam eyes. That’s why people love making games so much. Who doesn’t wanna make a game about something they find fascinating? We like space, for instance. One of our games, Solar Roller, is all “spacey” and cool. Why? Because space is friggin’ neat!

As if to prove how neat it is, last night, a giant space mountain (comet) flew by our heads. What’s more about this giant space mountain? That giant space mountain had its own giant space moon. So keep your eyes to the sky and maybe you’ll see some of space’s fanatical wonders for yourself in the future. If not? Turn on Solar Roller to experience them anyway. Or just play it when there isn’t anything particularly interesting whizzing by our planet.

Captain Toad is a game set in the Super Mario 3D World environment and story line. In fact it takes place just before Super Mario 3D World. Captain Toad is a 3D puzzle platform game for the Nintendo Wii U. You primarily use the tablet to control the game world and move Captain Toad around the reach the goals. Captain toad is a very unique way to play. You either use the touch screen or the second control stick in order to rotate the world map around to navigate Toad though the level. You also have the option to use the Gyro controls built in the tablet itself. Some of the events take place in first person view on the tablet which appears third person on the TV. When you go into a mine cart level you control the aiming with the gyro controls or control stick while throwing object at enemies, coins and other collectibles. You asked, we answered!

After getting some feedback on Solar Roller, we have made some changes that you, the players, asked for!

Didn’t like the sun before? Good! Neither did we! In house, it was called “the cheesy puff ball.” Now? We have this gorgeous, roaring star of solar proportions! A sun that would make Ra Himself proud! Continue reading Solar Roller: Wanna Talk? We’ll Listen

Solar Roller – The Second Game from Runway Games

Have you heard the news?  Runway Games is pregnant! We’ve got a new baby in our metaphorical belly, and we’re cookin’ it until it gets a little bit cuter. It looks like this lil’ one is gonna be a platformer. Mom and Dad are so proud.

Right now, we are calling the game “Solar Roller.” Kinda catchy, right? The game development is in its early stages, but it’s definitely going to be a good one.

Level selection screen. Look at that Earth. That's a sweet Earth.

Using some celestial body (Earth, Sun, Moon, etc), you navigate from the beginning of the platform to the end of the platform(which is suspended in Space). Some levels are fairly straight forward, and others require a bit of thinking. It provides an increasing challenge for the player as you progress, giving a sense of accomplishment for ever new level completed. Continue reading Solar Roller – The Second Game from Runway Games
